Va. man hurt after driving through closed road in Snow Hill

Maryland troopers in Berlin say a Virginia man was injured in a crash when he disobeyed road closure signs on Route 12.
According to Maryland State Police, Sunday night Claude Johnson was driving south on Route 12 north of West Hills Drive from Salisbury to Snow Hill. Route 12 has been closed for the past week due to last weekend’s rainstorm that washed away the roadway. Johnson reportedly failed to obey the posted signs advising of the road closure and collided with the reflective, plastic drum barricade, before hitting construction materials that were also being used to barricade the roadway. The vehicle reportedly did not hit any of the construction vehicles and did not collide with any of the roadway that had been washed away.
Troopers say, Johnson was taken to PRMC with non-life threatening injuries.
He has been charged with failure to obey properly placed traffic control device instructions and negligent driving, both violations contributing to an accident.
