UPDATE: Three new crew members on Int’l Space Station

Three new crew members are now aboard the International Space Station (‘ISS’).
NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough and cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Andrey Borisenko officially arrived at 8:20 a.m. Friday. The three, who launched from Kazakhstan on Wednesday, join researchers who have been aboard since July.
According to the official NASA blog, “The crew members will contribute to more than 250 research experiments ongoing aboard the space station, in diverse fields such as biology, Earth Science, human research, physical sciences and technology development.”
Also making its way to the ISS, is the U.S. cargo craft Cygnus which is full of science gear and crew supplies. It launched from Wallops Island, Virginia on Monday.
The resupply ship blasted off Monday night on an Orbital ATK Antares rocket to replenish the space station crew. It is expected to reach the ISS on Sunday morning.
