UPDATE: Somerset Co. teacher reportedly killed in Worcester County crash

A woman who died in a Worcester County crash on Tuesday night was reportedly a teacher in Somerset County.
According to Somerset County education officials, 40-year-old Renee Jackson of Baltimore who died in a Worcester County crash on Tuesday night, has been identified as an English and Language Arts teacher at Washington High School in Somerset County.
Officials say Jackson taught students in grade 10 and 11, along with regular and honors classes.
Jackson had reportedly previously taught in Baltimore City and Vermont.
Officials with the Somerset County Board of Education say that Jackson will be “greatly missed by students and colleagues as she was a fine educator and person.”
Jackson was pronounced dead after officials say around 10:30 PM, Tuesday night, Jackson was driving down Route 12 near Slim Chance Lane when she reportedly crossed the center lane, and went off the road where she apparently hit a ditch, and a drain pipe.
The accident is reportedly still under investigation.
