UPDATE: Sentencing postponed for man convicted of murder

The sentencing of a Salisbury man convicted of murder won’t be for another five weeks, a court decided Thursday.
Delonte Bryant, 23, was convicted in August for the August 2015 shooting death of Dommeir Deshields. The shooting happened near Anne and Baker Streets in Salisbury.
Bryant’s defense team has filed a motion for a new trial, and the decision to postpone sentencing came down Thursday morning in Wicomico County Circuit Court.
Bryant’s sentencing date is December 1 at 9 a.m.
