UPDATE: Meadowbridge Apartment Complexes renovation progress

Monday afternoon, saws went down as construction continued at the Meadowbridge Apartment Complexes in Seaford. Delaware officials checked on the progress of this 16.5 million dollar project that began this summer and is expected to completely renovate all 104 units.
“This project is being done by blocks,” says Anas Ben Addi, the Director of the Delaware State Housing Authority.
Sheila Hill, the Regional Manager for Fairville Management Company took 47 ABC through the different stages of the ongoing construction, from the units that have been emptied and are yet to be touched, to the units that are in the process of being demolished and renovated, and the ones that have been completed.
“The tenants here they deserve a descent place to live,” says Hill.
Hill tells 47 ABC no residents have been displaced due to the construction. Those whose units are undergoing construction are living in other units within the complex in the meantime.
“We had vacant units so we’re transferring from one unit to an old unit that we’ve kind of rehabbed a little bit. And once their unit is done they’ll move back,” says Hill.
47 ABC spoke to residents off camera who got a walk-through of the renovated apartments , and they tell us they are very excited for construction to start on their units. Officials say they hope to have all the units completed by next Spring.
