UPDATE: MCCC locates an absconder

The Delaware Department of Corrections say that an inmate who absconded from the Morris Community Correctional Center has been apprehended.
According to the report, Rasheen Best was arrested without incident on Tuesday in the in the Prothonotary’s Office of the Kent County Courthouse by Delaware Capitol Police.
Best was returned to MCCC and later committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna for the following: escape after conviction and administrative warrants.

Authorities in Dover say they are searching for an inmate, who did not return on an approved pass.
The Morris Community Correctional Center, in Dover, says that 29-year-old Rasheen Best, has willfully failed to return on an approved job-seeking pass.
Best is described by law enforcement as a male, standing 5’07”, weighing 245 pounds, with brown hair, and brown eyes. His last known address is reported as being in Dover, Delaware.
Officials say that Best’s location is unknown, and unauthorized at this time, so a warrant for escape and conviction has been issued. According to the report, Best’s current offense is violation of probation for endangering the welfare of a child.
It is important to keep in mind that Community Corrections Centers are Level 4 facilities, where the Department of Correction manages offenders who are transitioning back into the community. So, these centers are not secured like Level 5 prisons, meaning offenders are permitted to the leave the facility to go to work, seek jobs or attend approved treatment sessions.
