UPDATE: 1 dead after tractor-trailer and pick-up crash in Laurel

(AP) – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck.

State Police say the crash happened around 2 p.m. Friday. State Police say the driver of a pickup truck, 71-year-old Andrea C. Reid of Laurel, was driving on Old Stage Road approaching the intersection of Whitesville Road when she filed to stop for a stop sign. Police say she was struck by the driver of a tractor-trailer pulling a partially loaded feed trailer.
 
State Police say Reid was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Police say speed and alcohol are not factors in the crash.
