Troopers investigating a fatal crash near Laurel

The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit says it is currently investigating a fatal crash.

According to the report, the crash involved a tractor trailer and pick up truck at the intersection of Old Stage Road and Whitesville Road, or SR30, and happened around 2PM on Friday.

Officials say that one person has died as a result of this crash.

Whitesville Road at Old Stage Road is currently closed, and police ask that commuters find alternate routes of travel.
