Troopers conducting death investigation in Georgetown

Members of the Delaware State Police say they are in the process of conducting a death investigation after a man was found dead at a home west of Georgetown.

According to the report, around 3AM on Sunday, troopers responded to Wilson Hill Road, in Georgetown, after reports that a man had been found.

Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced the unidentified victim dead at the scene, and detectives were then contacted.

Officials say that the Delaware Division of Forensic Science was called to come and remove the victim, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Members of the Delaware Division of Forensic Science will conduct an autopsy in order to determine the cause, and manner, of death.

The investigation into the death of this man is in its early stages. Detectives say they are continuing to gather information by conducting interviews and collecting evidence in order to figure out the circumstances surrounding this incident.

According to the report, more information and details will be released as they become available to investigators, and no suspect information has been developed at this time.
