Trailer house fire in Long Neck leaves one dead

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is currently investigating a trailer house fire that occurred Sunday morning in Long Neck, Del. According to fire officials, one person was found dead inside the burning trailer.
The fire, reported shortly before 5:00 am, occurred in the 26000 block of Autumn Road near State Route 24.
Firefighters arrived on the scene with flames engulfing the house trailer. While putting out the flames, firefighters discovered one person inside the trailer.
The fire also caused exposure damage to the house trailer on both sides of the burning trailer, but no one was home in the other two trailers.
State fire investigators currently do not know the origin or cause of the fire.
The victim was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy scheduled for Monday for identification.
Officials also say heavy fire damage was estimated at $50,000. There were no other reported injuries and is an ongoing investigation.
