Three arrested in Harrington after fight

On Monday, members of the Harrington Police Department say they arrested three people after responding to a report of a fight in progress.

Police went to Mechanic Street, in the area of Dorman Street, for this reported fight in progress.  

According to the police, when officers arrived, they found Shaynee H. Boone, 28, Unique D. Baynard, 23 and Desya N. Benson, 21, all of Harrington and determined that the fight broke out due to altercations that happened between the three earlier in the day.

Police explained further by saying that all three subjects began arguing with each other, and then the argument escalated into a fight.

According to the report, during the fight, all three subjects assaulted each other, and all three were taken into custody.

The three subjects were taken to the Harrington Police Department for processing.

Boone was charged with two counts of offensive touching and disorderly conduct, Benson was charged with assault third degree, two counts of offensive touching, and disorderly conduct and Baynard was charged with strangulation, offensive touching and disorderly conduct.

All three were arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 7, and both Boon and Benson were released on unsecured bond. Baynard was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $6,000 cash only bail.
