Sussex Central Football Cruises Past Caesar Rodney

The Sussex Central football team bounced back in a big way Friday night when they shutout Caesar Rodney 42-0. The win improves the Golden Knights to 4-2, while the loss drops the Riders to 0-6.

The Golden Knights would go straight to work. Justin Jones would score the first touchdown run of the game. The Golden Knights would add another score before the end of the first quarter as their lead would be 15-0 after one. The Riders tried to get something going and would get good field position after Jared Wagenhoffer would find Jeqaun Daniels for a 30 yard pick up. The drive would stall though, and the Golden Knights continued to come back. Drew Morris then broke a 55 yard touchdown run as Sussex Central started to pull away. Drew Morris would add another score as the lead proved to be too much for the Riders to come back from.

Sussex Central returns to action on Saturday when they host Smyrna, while Caesar Rodney travels to Cape Henlopen.
