Stephen Decatur Ends Kent Island’s Perfect Season in OT Thriller

Stephen Decatur boy’s soccer ended Kent Island’s perfect season tonight with a 3-2 double overtime victory, improving to 10-0-1 with one game left to play. Kent Island moves to 11-1.

Kent Island’s Jayden Kendall scored the first goal of the game off of a header from Blake Groves. In the second half, Alton Walker scored on a corner kick to put the Seahawks on the board. The Buccaneers regained the lead when Andi Mejia found Connor Abplanalp who headed it in for the score. Decatur forced overtime when Wyatt Church scored with less than five minutes in regulation. The game winner came in the second overtime period, when Church connected with Andy Mckahan who sent it in.
