welcome back time to talk some sports and spenser.. the weather has really been the story of the day, and its affecting the sports world a lot as well yeah that’s right we had a lot of games that were on the schedule for tonight suppose to be football friday but just not in the cards with how a lot of the fields are right now the postponements continue to come rolling in for our high school football teams after the serious rain and flooding we’ve gotten the past few days. delmar’s huge showdown with rival laurel has been moved from tonight to sunday at 3pm lake forest game against woodbridge on the other hand will now be on monday at 6pm the battle of georgetown between sussex tech and sussex central will now be on saturday at 6pm while caesar rodney will take on st. georges tech on saturday as well at 2pm seafords game with indian river has been moved to monday at 4pm while north caroline will now play decatur on saturday at 6pm washington will now host hancock at 5pm on saturday, with that game being played at snow hill and bennett’s homecoming game will now be at snow hill, against the eagles on monday at 4pm parkside’s game against queen anne’s has been moved to monday at 6pm and finally kent island’s showdown with wi-hi will be on monday as well, at 6pm but not everything is postponed for tonight we still got a couple good matchups going on only 1 game in the bayside as cambridge makes the trip down to nandua over in the 1st state smyrna will look to stay perfect on the year as they take on dover while cape will look for a nice conference win as well, as they host polytech finally, milford is at home for their matchup against conrad we’ll be at each of those games and we’ll have full highlights and recap for you later on tonight and the commitments continue to come rolling in for a few of our local high school plays stephen decatur girls lacrosse team is sending a couple more to the next level after sara and jillian mitrecic both comimted to play at queens unviersity the twin sisters played a huge roll in helping the seahawks back to the state semifinals last year and we had a little thursday night football action going on last night as the bengals were taking on the dolphins cinci was up 3 early, but here comes miami ryan tannahill airs this one deep down the sideline, and finds kenny still. that’s good for a 74 yard catch and score but it was pretty much all bengals after that quick slant to the left side from andy dlaton to a-j greene… makes a man miss and goes in for the score he had 10 catches for a 173 yards and that t-d rest of the game looked a lot like this mike nugent bangs that one through from 47 yards out one of his 5 field goals on the night and the defense would do the rest tannahill throwing across the middle, but chris lewis-harris is there to pick it off bengals go on to get the win, 22-7 the final that’s it for sports – more news and weather straight ahead. stay with us. catch more of the action on our sports page at
