Single-vehicle crash under investigation in Somerset Co.

Deputies from the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office say they responded to a report of a car crash on Saturday evening.
According to the report, around 8PM on Ardens Station Road in Westover, deputies found a single passenger car that had run off the roadway and hit a tree.
Officials say that the driver was the only person in the car, and that he was trapped inside. Members of the Princess Anne and Pocomoke Fire Departments were able to respond and get the man out of the wreckage, and he was taken by ambulance to PRMC.
Officials report that the man was later pronounced deceased at PRMC, and his name is being withheld pending notification of the family.
The investigation into this crash is being continued by the Somerset Sheriff’s Office with help from the Maryland State Police.
