Selbyville educator named “Teacher Who Makes A Difference”

A Sussex County teacher got a special surprise Thursday morning, recognizing her work as an educator.

Our news crew stopped by the Southern Delaware School of Arts in Selbyville to name Wendy Webb our “Teacher Who Makes A Difference”.

Webb has been teaching at the school for 12 years. This year, she teaches 56 sixth graders and also coaches field hockey, basketball and softball.

She has about 23 years of experience as an educator and knows first-hand the challenges that come with being a teacher, but she does have a word of advice for new educators.

“If you love it, do it. Never give up,” says Webb. “You have your good days and your bad days, but all in all…these are my children. I have two children of my own, but I love them all.”
