Salisbury man held on no bond following assault charges

On Friday, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says they arrested a man following a complaint that he was being suggestive towards a young girl.
Officials say that around noon, Clarence McGill, 57, of Salisbury, was arrested after a complaint was made that he was repeatedly touching a 16-year-old girl while making suggestive comments towards her.
The report describes the complaint by stating that McGill would rub on the victim’s arm in a manner that made her feel uncomfortable.
Officials also note that McGill is a registered sex offender.
McGill was taken to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance where he was charged with assault second degree, the Commissioner detained McGill without a bond.
Following a bond review on Monday, October 31, McGill remained on a no bond status.
