Queen Anne’s Roll Past Decatur On Homecoming

The Queen Anne’s football team got to celebrate their homecoming in a big way Saturday afternoon after they rolled past Stephen Decatur for a 55-6 win. The win improves the Lions to 6-1, while the loss drops the Seahawks to 0-7.

The Lions would score early and often. CJ Rodgers would score the first touchdown of the game as Queen Anne’s would get their ground game going. Brandon Hickman then broke back to back long touchdown runs of his own as the lead would stretch to three scores. Quarterback Mike D’Angelo would add a short quarterback sneak before another Rodgers touchdown would get running clock for the home team. Hickman would add one more score before his day was done as the Lions would eventually build a 55-0 lead. The Seahawks never gave in and were able to score a touchdown late, but it wasn’t nearly enough.

Queen Anne’s returns to work on Thursday when they travel to Wi-Hi, while Stephen Decatur takes on Parkside on Thursday.
