Oyster harvest hits downtown Cambridge

Maryland’s oyster harvest season kicked off October 1st and by the looks of it, out in Cambridge,  oyster harvest festivals are enjoying it.

The annual Crabi Grass Hot Sauce and Oyster Festival hit the 400 block of Race Street Sunday afternoon and they came with the works. There was music, people and of course over 20 different hot sauces and oysters. here even was a special

The events chef, Patrick Flanning, explains that the menu was inspired by Eastern Shore favorites like the, Carpet Bagger.

“The carpet bagger is, prime rib eye steak that’s been glazed with oyster chowder, French fries and single fried oysters,” explains Flanning.

When we asked folks what their favorite part of the day was they said, being able to enjoy good food with good folks and even greater music.
