One dead from early morning bus crash in Bridgeville

Troopers in Delaware are currently investigating a fatal crash in Bridgeville Friday, involving a DART bus and a SUV.

According to report the crash happened around 5:45 AM Friday, on Seashore Highway west of Cannon Road. Officials say the driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the bus and an unconfirmed number of passengers were reportedly taken to area hospitals with what is reported to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators say Seashore Highway is closed west of Cannon Road as the scene is cleared and investigated. Commuters are advised to seek alternate routes of travel.
