Officials say they are looking for a missing offender in Dover
Officials say an offender did not return from an approved work pass in Dover.
According to the Delaware Department of Correction, 31-year-old Jason Reynolds, of Dover, did not return from the Morris Community Correctional Center in Dover on Saturday, and all tries to find Reynolds have failed. Reynolds whereabouts are reportedly not known and not permitted at this time, so a warrant for escape after conviction has been put in place.
Officials say Community Corrections Centers are level four facilities where the Department of Correction is in control of offenders who are going back into the community. These centers are reportedly not secured like level five prisons, as offenders are allowed to leave the facility to go to work, look for jobs or go to approved treatment sessions.
Anyone with information on Reynolds is asked to call (800) 542-9524 or their local police department.
Reynolds is described as having hazel eyes, red and auburn hair, and tattoos on his upper right forearm, chest, right hand, and right leg,
His current offense is reportedly second degree burglary.
