Ocean Pines man arrested for assault

Members of the Ocean Pines Police Department say they arrested a man on assault charges.

According to the report, police responded to an assault in progress complaint.

When they arrived, officers say they found out that a man had chased his roommate at knifepoint, and had slashed the victim’s tires.

After an investigation, police charged Kenneth Rafael Voland, 40, of Ocean Pines, with the following:

  • 1 Count of first degree assault
  • 1 Count of second degree assault
  • 1 Count of malicious destruction under $1,000

Voland was taken before a District Court Commissioner and was held on $25,000 bond at the Worcester County Jail.
