Monday Memo – October 3, 2016
MONDAY MEMO
TO: ALL STAFF
FROM: KATHLEEN
DATE: 3 OCTOBER 2016
LOCAL NEEDS, LOCAL SOLUTIONS
Founded over seventy years ago to unite the community in forming long term solutions to complex community problems, our United Way remains the largest funder of local programs on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Payroll deductions make it easy for you to be part of this solution. If you can give $5 per week, your gift will provide 28 home delivered Meals on Wheels and volunteer visits for homebound seniors. If that is too much, you can give as little as a dollar a week. Forms will be distributed to your Department Head Tuesday morning. Please consider United Way as you think about your charitable giving.
THE SALVATION ARMY’S Red Kettle Campaign has been organized and our date this year will be Thursday, 15 December, in front of the new ACME in Salisbury. We will man the Kettle from 9AM until 8PM, with two people assigned to each hour. If you can spare an hour in your day, please consider this option to give back. Signup sheets will be on the bulletin board across from the time clock later this week. It’s never too early to get it on your calendar!
3 DECEMBER 2016……SAVE THE DATE!!!
Our annual Holiday Party will be held at EVO’s from 6-9PM on the first Saturday in December. Reserve the date on your calendar; details and signup sheet will follow closer to the time.
WELCOME ABOARD TO LARRY FORTINO

Larry Fortino joined our Sales Team last Tuesday. He brings with him five years of sales experience with Clear Channel Outdoor and two years of sales management experience with Bath Fitter. He holds top performer awards from his sales efforts. Prior to getting into Sales, Larry studied Criminal Justice at Waynesburg College in Pennsylvania and served as a Trooper with the Maryland State Police. Please join me in welcoming him to our Team.

SUN OUTAGES are likely to occur between now and 11 October. If we do experience interference, it is likely to occur between 2:07 and 2:40PM depending on which satellite is in use. Master Control has taken the precaution of taping a segment which can be used should that occur. Ken tells me that today is the most likely day for issues.
