Milton drive-by-shooting sends one to hospital

Troopers in Delaware are investigating a drive-by shooting Thursday night in Milton that sent one person to the hospital.
Delaware State Police say the shooting happened around 9:50 PM, as a 33-year-old male, a 34-year-old female, and a 22-year-old male, were all walking on West Springside Drive in the Cool Spring Farms Mobile Home Park. According to reports, a dark colored Chrysler 200 approached the three pedestrians, when the front seat passenger began to fire a handgun into the air through the front passenger window. One of the rounds reportedly hit the 33-year-old male victim in the lower extremity, and he was eventually transported to the hospital where he was treated for the non-life-threatening injury. The other two pedestrians reportedly were uninjured.
Authorities say, the vehicle fled the development in an unknown direction. The driver and passenger were both reportedly male. The driver of the vehicle was possibly wearing a gray in color hooded sweatshirt and had a large “chinstrap” style beard, no further physical or clothing description were available.
