Millsboro woman identified in Rockville suspicious death case

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department say that their Major Crimes Division continues to investigate the suspicious death of a woman.

According to the report, around 6:30AM on Tuesday, a person on his way to the Metro found the body of a dead woman lying in a parking lot near the fence line to the back of 12349 Parklawn Drive.

Officials note that this parking lot borders an apartment community, and residents often are known to travel from the community through the parking lot in order to get to the Twinbrook Metro.

Major Crimes detectives responded to the location, and said there was no apparent trauma to the woman’s body.

Detectives have now been able to identify the victim as Lori Denise Detwiler, 55, of Millsboro, Delaware, through fingerprint analysis.
