aerospace company orbital a-t-k — are now celebrating a successful launch of the antares rocket – this evening. it was a highly anticipated event — considering what happened on that spot nearly 2 years ago — when a rocket exploded just seconds after lift-off. joining us live from nasa wallops flight facility– to report on this big night — is 47 a-b-c’s lili zheng. and what you might not know about lili— is that she was at that failed mission in october 2014– but has returned tonight— with much better news. lili? that’s right emily during a press conference tonight– we’ve heard from joel montenano from the international space station program. and — frank culbertson — president of orbital atk. culbertson confirms — this was the largest payload to fly out of wallops island. again — the cygnus spacecraft is carrying about 51-hundred pounds of cargo to the international space station. now according to orbital — that spacecraft is expected to reach orbit sunday morning. and it will stay there — until about november. as we mentioned — it’s not just a ressuply mission but also plenty experiments onboard — including saffire two. that tests how flames grow in space. culbertson also told the media tonight — orbital atk does have six more missions planned to launch from wallops island in the near future. emily — alright thank you lili. 47abc’s lili zheng reporting live from wallops island tonight. for the latest space news — anytime — make sure to check out 47 abc-dot-com. and– and in terms of launch weather — we couldn’t ask for much
