Lincoln man arrested on malicious and threatening charges

Vontrell Bibbins, 25, of Lincoln

On Monday, Milford police arrested a man on several charges after he apparently threatened his victims.

According to the report, around 9PM, an officer on patrol in the 100 block of Park Avenue saw two cars coming out of a parking lot and noticed a considerable amount of glass near where one of the cars had been parked.

The officer says they were able to make contact with the driver of one of the cars, and found out that a fight had taken place there before the officer had gotten there.

Apparently, a man had damaged a window of one of the cars and would not allow the people inside that car to get out. Officials say they were told that the suspect also made comments to the victims that made them fear for their safety.

While the officer was speaking to a victim in the case, Vontrell Bibbins, 25 of Lincoln, apparently went to the Milford Police Department to talk about the event and was taken into custody without incident.

Bibbins was charged with the following:

  • Two counts of unlawful imprisonment 2nd degree
  • Two counts of reckless endangering
  • Terroristic threatening
  • Menacing
  • Criminal mischief
  • Endangering the welfare of a child

Bibbins was arraigned at JP Court #3 in Georgetown, and bail was set $5500 unsecured along with a no contact order with the victims in this case.
