Laurel holds late to drop Lake Forest

The Laurel Bulldogs snapped a two-game losing streak, defeating Lake Forest 21-12 at home on Friday night.

Laurel would take a 14-0 lead into the half, before Lake made their charge. A 10 minute drive by the Spartans would result in their first points of the game coming late in the third quarter when Elle Harden got into the endzone to cut the deficit to 14-7.

Laurel would respond with a long drive of their own, finishing it with a Michael Handy two-yard plunge to put the Bulldogs up 21-7 with just over two minutes remaining. Lake would add a late score before the final whistle.

Both teams are back in action on Friday when Laurel hosts Milford, while Lake host Glasgow.
