Grant Burleson Nets Two As Parkside Boys Soccer Edge Mardela

The Parkside boys soccer team picked up another conference win Monday afternoon when they defeated Mardela 3-0. The win improves the Rams 4-4, while the loss drops the Warriors to 1-6-1.
The Rams would control the possession for the most the first half. Parkside would generate several shots on goal, but the Warriors keeper Alec Bryson would come up with save after save. Finally, the Rams would break through after Connor Houtman would send a cross to Grant Burleson for the finish. Parkside continued to push in the second half as they would push their lead to 2-0 with 20 minutes left in the game after Burleson would finish near post off a deflected ball. Rojan Mathew would then add the final score of the match for his first varsity score.
Parkside returns to work on Wednesday when they travel to Crisfield, while Mardela travels to Washington on Tuesday.
