Four arrested on weapons charges in Dover

The Dover Police Department says it arrested four suspects after responding to a report they were looking into cars in the area of Lakeview Drive on Friday morning.

According to the report, officers arrived to initially find Matthew Brown, 23, and Thomas Limpkins, 22, however James Pitts, 27, and Kenny’Aun Baldwinn, 26 were found soon after in a nearby car.

After searching the cars, officers found a .40 caliber handgun, a loaded .40 caliber magazine, additional .40 caliber rounds, a large knife, several pocket knives, tools, masks, gloves, .2 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the incident, the suspects were charged with the following:

Matthew Brown-

  • Two counts of carry concealed deadly weapon
  • Night prowling
  • Conspiracy 2nd degree
  • Local fugitive

James Pitts-

  • Two counts of possession of firearm by person prohibited
  • Concealed deadly weapon: firearm
  • Concealed deadly weapon: knife
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Night prowling

Kenny’Aun Baldwin

  • Two counts of possession of firearm/ammo by person prohibited
  • Concealed deadly weapon: firearm
  • Concealed deadly weapon: knife
  • Night prowling

Thomas Limpkins

  • Two counts of possession of firearm/ammo by person prohibited
  • Concealed deadly weapon: firearm
  • Concealed deadly weapon: knife
  • Night prowling
  • Possession of brass knuckles: deadly weapon
