Former Sussex Co. asst. principal set to stand jury trial for sexual abuse charges

In Sussex County a jury has been selected for the criminal trial of Edward Husbands, the former Milford school district assistant principal who’s facing sexual abuse charges. Trial is set to begin Tuesday morning.

According to police Husbands who worked at Benjamin Banneker Middle School  was arrested lat summer for allegedly inappropriately touching three young girls.
Two victims were reportedly 10 years old and the other was 11 at the time.
 

Officials tell 47 ABC that the three girls were spending the night at his house in Milton. Police say one of the victims reported explaining she had been inappropriately touched by her friends father.   

Husbands alleged crimes date back to December of 2014. He was originally supposed to stand trial in May of this year  but was granted a continuance motion.
