Every bead has a story at this boutique

Folks showed up in numbers for the seventh annual Trollbeads festival in Lewes on Saturday. This 3 day event featured glass beads and artists from all over the world and we were told each bead has its own story. We were amazed at how intricate each bead was with its different shapes, colors and patterns.
Trollbeads started in 1976 making them the Original bead-on-bracelet line and the theme for today’s event celebrates 40 years in the making. This anniversary brought the founder of Trollbeads, Lise Aagaard, to Delaware for the first time.
“I often thought how it seemed as if one little bead contained a whole world when we embarked on our first journey to set up a glass bead workshop for exiled Tibetans,” said Lise Aagaard, as she sat in a high stool chair addressing the audience for her speech. “I had no idea of how much there was in this notion.
“Troll beads is an artist in line,” said the event organizer Michiko Seto. “So not only do we have the regular catalog line like other bead lines do but we get in unique one of a kind beads that you don’t see everyday in one of the stores.”
If you’re interested in this event or meeting the founder, their events last day is Sunday, at the Blooming Boutique in Lewes. You can vist their webpage for more information: http://www.trollbeadsatthebeach.com/
