DSP are investigating a shooting north of Rehoboth Beach

Delaware State Police are investigating a shooting that sent one victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the  incident happened around 2:10 p.m on Saturday, October 15, 2016, after Troop 7 in Lewes received a call from the Beebe Hospital. DSP say that Beebe Hospital told them that a 19-year-old victim arrived with a gunshot wound to his lower extremity. The shooting incident was reported to have occurred on Wolfe Neck Road, Rehoboth Beach.

We are told the victim contacted a relative who transported him to the hospital where he was treated and released with a non-life-threatening injury.

Police state the investigation is on-going and no suspect information has been provided.
