Del Dot is inviting the public to come to a workshop on October 24 in Dover

Del Dot officials say that there will be a public workshop this month for proposed improvements on Kenton Road from SR 8 to Chestnut Grove.

The Delaware Department of Transportation says they welcome the public to come to a workshop to discuss input about proposed improvements on Kenton Road from State Route 8 to Chestnut Grove Road in Dover. Officials say the workshop will be held at the Dover High School Cafeteria, on One Dover High Drive in Dover from 4PM until 7PM on Monday October 24.

Officials say the purpose of the workshop is to improve traffic safety and operations, and to advance bicycle and pedestrian accessibility along Kenton Road. All facilities will reportedly be ADA complaint, and attendees will get to look over display materials for the proposed alternatives.

Officials say Del Dot representatives will be at the workshop to discuss and get public input.

The location is reportedly accessible to disabled people, and people with special needs or who require special aid, such as an interpreter for the hearing impaired, are asked to call Del Dot by phone or mail a week before the event.

Those interested are invited to write their views using reasons for support of or in opposition to the proposed project. Officials say comments will be received during the public workshop or can be mailed to Del Dot Community Relations , P.O.
