Crisfield Defeats Easton, 4-1

The Crisfield field hockey team earned their 3rd straight win Wednesday afternoon when they traveled to Easton and rolled to a 4-1 win. The win improves the Crabbers to 3-4, while the loss drops the Warriors to 2-8.

Miranda Atkins got it started for the Crabbers in the first half off of an assist from Lainie Pruitt. Erin McDonald responded with a Warriors goal shortly after that. The scoring continued to go back and forth from there, as the Crabbers were the ones to respond as Pruitt would call her own number and be able to put one away. Crisfield’s offense then really caught fire as they would get a pair of goals from Grace Simpson and Kate Stevens to close out the match for the win.

Crisfield returns to action on Friday when they host Pocomoke, while Easton host Stephen Decatur on Monday.
