Colonel Football Marches Past Arcadia

The Colonel Richardson football team picked up a strong non-conference win Saturday afternoon when they defeated Arcadia 56-15. The win improves the Colonels to 2-3, while the loss drops the Firebirds to 2-4.

The Firebrids came out firing early on. They would cap off a drive with a touchdown run from Bridon Bibbins. The Colonels though would fire right back. They would cap off a long drive of their own with a touchdown run to the left side form Tyler Stanton. Then the game quickly turned into the Eric Joseph show. The senior running back would score on three times to help push the lead to over 20. Once the ground game got going, CR was able to open up the passing attack as well. Jake Zebron would find Darrion Speller on a play action strike for a score in the third quarter as the Colonels were able to get running clock and roll to the win.

Colonel Richardson returns to action on Friday when they travel to Cambridge SD, while Arcadia host Nandua on the 21st.
