City Champs! Parkside Football Dominates Rival Bennett

The Parkside football team made a statement at home on Friday night when they rolled past their rivals Bennett 26-0. The win improves the Rams to 4-3, while the Clippers fall to 3-4.

The teams would be in a defensive battle throughout the first half. The Rams would be able to grab a slim 6-0 lead headed into the break, before finally being able to get their offense going. They would score on back to back touchdown runs in the third quarter as their lead would begin to stretch. Nial Ogee would score on a short touchdown run before Terique Bivens would break loose on a 80 yard sweep to the outside to break the game wide open. The Clippers knew they needed to get aggressive and nearly scored off a fake punt when Matt Chrysostome would take the ball all the way down to the five yard line. The Clippers would turn the ball over in the redzone though to end the drive. The Rams defense would do the rest as they rolled to the win.

Bennett returns to work on Thursday when they travel to North Caroline, while Parkside travels to Stephen Decatur on Thursday.
