Callahan’s Pick Seals Queen Anne’s Win Over Easton

The Queen Anne’s football team pulled off a huge conference win Friday night when they defeated Easton 26-20. The win improves the Lions to 5-1, while the loss drops the Warriors to 4-2.

Easton would strike first after Madon Ledford would drop back to pass and find TJ Nixon for a quick 10 yard strike. The Lions would come fighting back, getting a touchdown pass of their own after Mike D’Angelo would find Brandon Hickman for a 50 yard score. D’Angelo would add a short touchdown run in the third quarter to give the home team the lead, before Ledford would find Nixon for another strike. The teams would go back and forth headed into the 4th. Hickman would have a touchdown run to give the Lions a 2 score lead late. Easton wasn’t ready to go away though as they would climb within a score late. The Warriors would be driving before Jordan Callahan would come up with the game saving interception.

Easton returns to action on Friday when they host Silver Oak, while Queen Anne’s on Saturday when they host Stephen Decatur.
