Parkside: The Rams lose all-conference guard Gary Briddell (transfer to Stephen Decatur) and their best big man Tyreese Purnell (transfer to St. Peter St. Paul) and bring back a host of unproven talent. Guard Paul Morgan’s experience will be leaned on as well as emerging 2017 forward Rayquan Williams.

Milford Mill: The Millers graduate guard Gary Burley and a host of seniors that played in the Governor’s Challenge a year ago.

C.H. Flowers vs. Paint Branch

C.H. Flowers: New coach Brian Brooks takes over at the helm for the Jaguars, a team that won the bracket championship in each of its first two trips.

Paint Branch: The Panthers enter the Governor’s Challenge for their first time after finishing with an 8-14 record in 2015-16.
