Berlin boy looking to collect 100 bags of pet food food

Last year 47 ABC told you about a young boy from Berlin named Mason, who was trying to collect 100 toys for a local hospital for his 100th day of first grade, and he ended up collecting more than 300 toys.
This time around seven year old Mason Hetherington is looking to collect 100 bags of dog and cat food for his 100th day of second grade. Mason tells 47 ABC he plans on donating it to them to the Worcester and Wicomico Humane societies. He tells 47 ABC he has received 17 bags so far, but he needs help from the community to reach his goal.
“I just really like how many people are helping me out with it. And they’re coming from so far away to help me,” says Mason.
Folks who want to help Mason can drop off donations at a box at Paws and Claws in Ocean City. Mason’s mom can also connect donations throughout Worcester County, for more information click here.
