Bailey’s 4 TD’s Power North Caroline Football Past Decatur

North Caroline football rolled past Stephen Decatur on Saturday afternoon behind 4 touchdowns from David Bailey Jr. The win improves the Bulldogs to 4-1, while the loss drops the Seahawks to 0-5.
Bailey would get the ball early and often in the game and show why he is considered one of the best running backs in the conference. The junior would score on a sweep on North Caroline’s first play from scrimmage. Then add rushing touchdowns on their very next two drives as the lead would stretch to three scores. Shortly after that, the ‘Dawgs would get touchdown runs from Zach Smith and Allan Saathoff as the lead would stretch to 34-0 at the break. Bailey would add the final of his 5 scores in the second half after hauling in a pass from Cody Pepper. Though down big, the Seahawks never gave up getting a couple late touchdown scores from Avonte Purnell. North Carolines defense would tighten up and close out the game for the win though.
North Caroline returns to work on Friday when they travel to Parkside, while Stephen Decatur host Kent County on Friday.
