Authorities report counterfeit money in Somerset Co.

Members of the Maryland State Police in Princess Anne say they received two reports of counterfeit money exchanges.

Troopers add that members of the Princess Anne Police Department as well asthe Crisfield Police Department were made aware of several reports from area businesses that received counterfeit money.

According to MSP, approximately $1,000.00 in counterfeit $50 bills and $20 bills were produced. 

Troopers were able to identify the US Currency that was passed as having the following denominations and serial numbers;

$50 Bill MB80725090A

$20 Bill ML57295508H

$20 Bill JE21438689C

$20 Bill MB05511656G
