Arrests made in reported robberies of pizza delivery drivers in Dover

Police say four teens have been arrested in a Dover robbery of a Papa John’s delivery driver.

According to Dover Police, four teenagers were arrested following a second robbery of a pizza delivery driver in days. Around 11:30PM, a 23-year-old Papa John’s driver reportedly tried to deliver a food order to a home on Townsend Boulevard when the driver left his car, and was approached by four suspects who punched him in the head and face area, causing him to fall to the ground. Police say the suspects then took the food, and an unknown amount of cash from the victim, and fled the scene.

A woman was reportedly identified as a result of a disorderly persons complaint at the Fairfield Inn on Jefferic Boulevard in Dover, when a report of four disorderly people was called in to Dover Police. With the information, detectives were reportedly able to find one of the suspects who was on GPS monitoring by Delaware Juvenile Probation.

Acting on information from the GPS systems, officers reportedly responded to a home on Buckson Drive. Outside of the home, police reportedly saw empty Papa Johns boxes and containers that matched the items ordered by the suspects. Police say officers also found the four suspects inside of the home, and arrested them without incident. The four teens were charged with two counts of second degree robbery, two counts of second degree conspiracy, and two counts of third degree assault.

Another teen was furthermore charged in the second robbery of a Domino’s employee and charged with second degree robbery, second degree conspiracy, and third degree assault.
