Armed robbery at Pine Grove Apartments under investigation

The Dover Police Department reports it is investigating an armed robbery that happened on Saturday night in Pine Grove Apartments.

According to the report, the 42-year-old man, who was the victim, arrived at Pine Grove Apartments after a co-worker called and asked for a ride around 8PM.

When he arrived to C Building, officials say a man that was standing out front told him to walk inside. Once inside, the victim was reported to have been pushed down the steps to the laundry room, where another suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money.

Officials say the victim was then punched in the head several times by both suspects as they took an undisclosed amount of money from his pockets before running out of the building.
