Arcadia Football Holds Off Washington Late

The Arcadia high school football team traveled over to Washington on Friday night and pulled out a 31-27 win. The win improves the Firebirds to 3-4, while the loss drops the Jaguars to 2-5.
The Jaguars would come out fired up, scoring a couple quick touchdown off runs from Travelle Jones. The Firebirds would answer right back though. Contrell Brown would score touchdowns on three straight possessions to get his team right back in it. Washington would get a score from Desmir Williams as they would find themselves tied up at 19-19 at the break. Arcadia would come out in the second half though and take a short lead late. Washington would have an opportunity to take the lead late driving, but would eventually run out of time on their comeback as they fell just short.
Washington returns to work on Friday when they travel to Cambridge, while Arcadia travels to Kent County on Friday.
