Adkins’ 3 TD’s Pace Delmar Past Archmere

The Delmar football team picked up a nice non-conference road win Saturday afternoon when they traveled to Archmere and pulled out a 28-14 win behind three touchdowns from senior quarterback Jimmy Adkins. The win improves the Wildcats to 4-2 on the year.
The teams would be in a defensive battle early on with neither team being able to find the endzone in the first quarter. The ‘Cats would find their form in the second though as Adkins would take a QB sneak in from a yard out for the first points of the game. Then shortly after that, Adkins would show off his arm after finding George Angello on a play action from 69 yards out as Delmar would lead 14-0 at the break. The Auks would try and get back into the game with a short touchdown run from Nick Udovich in the 3rd quarter to cut the Wildcats lead to just 7 headed to the 4th. There, Adkins would bring it home. He would find Isaac Austin for a 39 yard touchdown pass before a pick-6 would ice the game.
Delmar returns to action on Friday when they travel to Seaford.
