6 teens arrested following reported assault and robbery

Officials say that early Sunday morning, officers arrested 6 subjects for robbery and assault which led to additional arrests for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
According to the report, on October 02 around 2AM, officers of the Salisbury Police Department responded to the area of Bateman Street and South Division Street for a reported assault and robbery.
Officers say they met with witnesses and a 20-year-old female victim, and the initial investigation showed that the victim had been assaulted by a group of both men and women, and her cell phone had been stolen.
Further investigation allowed officers to discover that the victim and her friends were walking east on Bateman Street approaching South Division Street. As the victim and her friends got to Wayne Street, they passed by a group of subjects sitting on a street curb along Bateman Street.
This group was later identified by SPD officials as 18-year-old Dontrae Nathaniel Robinson, four 16-year-old juvenile girls, and a 15-year-old juvenile girl.
The group of suspects are reported to have begun yelling derogatory remarks and profanities towards the victim and her friends, so the victim stopped and began to address the group, while her friends continued to walk.
According to the report, Robinson quickly approached the victim and punched her one time, in the face, which caused the victim to fall to the ground.
While on the ground, Robinson and the juvenile girls are reported to have continued assaulting the victim by punching and kicking her about her entire body. The suspects then apparently proceeded to steal the victim’s cell phone from her, and Robinson and the juveniles ran away in an unknown direction.
Officers responded and met with the victim and her friends, and a description of the suspects was broadcasted to additional responding officers.
Officials say that within minutes, officers were able to find the suspects in the area of Spring Avenue and Pryor Avenue. The suspects were identified as being the same persons who assaulted the victim and stole her phone.
Robinson was taken into custody without incident, and officers then attempted to arrest the five other juvenile suspects.
While officers tried to arrest three of the girls for the initial assault and robbery, the other two girls apparently actively tried to stop the arrest procedure. As the girls continued to resist arrest, one of the 16-year-olds spit on the arresting officer, and the disorderly crowd grew while officers were trying to make the arrests.
Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office and Maryland State Police quickly responded and assisted officers, and all 6 subjects were subsequently placed under arrest without further incident.
Robinson was taken to Wicomico County Central Booking where he awaits an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
The three juvenile girls who were directly related to the initial assault, robbery, and spitting on the officer were transported to the Lower Shore Juvenile Justice Center where they are being held.
Officials say the other two juvenile girls who interfered with the officers arrests and were acting disorderly were released to their respective guardians, and the victim was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries to her upper torso and released.
According to the report, the charges are as follows:
