Woman arrested on escape warrant from 2014

On September 20, deputy arrested a woman on a warrant that charged her with escape.

According to the report, Sherri Thompson, 36, of Fruitland, was issued an escape warrant that charged her with escape in the second degree after she did not show up to the Detention Center in November of 2014.

Officials say she was supposed to begin serving a period of incarceration imposed in a theft case.

After her arrest, Thompson was processed at the Central Booking Unit and brought in front of the District Court Commissioner where she was held without bond.
