Woman arrested for violating a protective order

A Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Deputy arrested a woman on Monday in connection with an alleged violation of a protective order.

According to the report, Lonna Lee Layne-Rayfield, 56, of Salisbury was arrested around noon on Monday, and is accused with sending text messages to an individual in violation of the restrictions of a protective order.

Officials say that upon arrest, Layne-Rayfield was taken to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner where she was charged with violation of a protective order.

Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Layne-Rayfield on personal recognizance.
