Wicomico High School JROTC honors the 15th anniversary of September 11th

On Friday September 9, 2016, the Wicomico High School honored the observance of the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

The students had a moment of silence before school started. The honor guard marched to the flagpole at exactly 8:46 a.m., the time the first plane struck the first of the two world trade center towers that fell.

Wicomico High principal Don brady carried a wreath to the flagpole. The wreath is decorated with red, white, and blue flowers, which will remain on display at the flagpole until Monday.

Principal Brady said that the wreath was a way for students to reflect about those victims and families affected by 9/11.

On Monday September 12th, North Salisbury Elementary will also hold an assembly for the National Day of Service and Remembrance. They will dedicate a tree to honor all first responders in Wicomico County.
